i would agree with the Chadli goal of those 3 (that break was ridiculous)... the other 2 were decent but not really as memorable for me. Other goals i thought were special are Aguero's goal, Mertens' goal, Queresma's goal, Pavard's goal, Cavani's curler goal, Perisic's goal (in final).. Cheryshev's goal v. Saudi was pretty good too

I found Messi's goal ridiculous just for the level of control while running at full speed. Maybe 3-4 other players in tournament are capable of that in a match setting but that's about it.

it was a good goal, no doubt.. i just personally didn't find it as "memorable" as some others. to each their own

Subasic didn't look good in the final and maybe Courtois was better overall but without the penalty saving heroics Croatia would have been nowhere near the final.

i dont hate this team.. good shout for all included.. perhaps hazard ahead of cavani simply because he outlasted cavani, but i thought cavani carried his team through and they looked flat as hell without him

i "might" have actually thrown Lloris in there as well until his Spursy cockup in the finals.. lol

Can't include Vrasljko in a team of the tourney after his performance in the final. I thought he was awful, and was a major part of the reason Croatia looked so blunt going forward. Constant back passing and never had the nerve to take on his man.

Also, surprised that Ronaldo's free kick vs Spain hasn't been mentioned in any goal of the tournament lists. While the goal itself wasn't the most amazing, the surrounding circumstances make it special. To complete a hat trick vs Spain, and every one (at least around me) seemed to know it was going in....will remember that one far longer than some of the goals by Cheryshev and co.

Yeah I would have Hazard in there too. Don't think Rakitic was impressive at all, if anything Brozovic made the team tick more.

I think Meunier deserves a shout, excellent performances all round and Belgium really missed him against France.

Hernandez is solid but is really a CB playing at LB. Not natural going forward at all and ain't that impressive in attack, similar to Pavard. Personally would put either Laxalt, Mojica or Augustinsson as LB.

Agree Hernandez is a centre back first and foremost but he's a lot better than Pavard going forward imo

Also Cavani definitely should be ahead of Mbappé centrally or Lukaku generally. That brace vs Portugal was pure class

Good team but there has to be a place for Hazard.
Cavani has to drop out as he didn't play in the tougher latter stages.
