He's gonna be our new main defender for the next four years or so.

I think this will prove to be a good signing. Watch the Dortmund fans - they're not happy about losing him. The next year should be all about finding someone younger and more technically able who can complement Sokratis. Hopefully we've already got somebody in mind.

I kept reading from Arsenal fans that he is supposedly an organizer, but from a couple of posts from BvB fans it seemed like they were disappointed in him in specifically leading the line after the departure of Hummels. But then again, all Dortmund team was subpar, so hopefully it was just a temporary downturn for him.

indeed looks awful but at the same time it's awful cos it's so prominent. Reckon Rwanda got their money's worth in terms of exposure. Remains to be seen how that translates to visitors.

BvB fans liked his personality, he takes no shit from anyone. But theyre basically ok with cashing in on an aging CB who just had a bad season and isn't a great passer. He's sort of a throwback CB in that respect. They're excited about Diallo as his replacement.

Obviously, let's give him a chance. But I do find this a peculiar signing. Sven must know something most don't.

Have to question Mislintat's defender knowledge if this one goes the way many of us expect it to.

i thought that was the case until i saw the arsenal stream of the game yesterday and heard a new pronunciation: so-cratice.

This guy hasn't been getting much attention but he's been decent. The bar is pretty low considering he just needs to outshine Bellerin and Mustafi but he's not really done much wrong.

yeah the bar is low with mustafi in the team, but he's been perfectly fine to me in the first two games. he looked so shit in pre-season. i was hoping that was a case of a veteran just going through the motions, looks like it was.

I'd like him and Lichtsteiner to play for a month or two and see where we are. I think it'll be an improvement.
