There was "contact", but that was all dramatics

Here was initial contact but nothing I could see when the player was collecting the ball Neymar was sitting on.
This is time wasting master class

He rested his foot a bit on neymars shin. You not getting replays? Why else would neymar suddenly start shrieking like that

I’ve been watching him in particular. He has been very very poor.

Well...
Mexico will never break their last 16 jinx no matter how well they play. Paid for their profligacy again. 8 consecutive last 16 exit
Would've been a miss if it was still jesus.
Mexico had good chances first quarter. Wasteful, casual, themselves to blame. Adios.
Firmino doing in 5 minutes what Jesus couldn't in 4 games.

Must have missed thay if that was the case. Just saw the player collecting the ball with the official stepping over the grounded Neymar. Then saw him rolling around like he'd been stabbed.

They seem to create many chances in every match but just can't score. Absurd team

Anticipate, be in the right position, right time, killer instinct etc etc etc...and score. Still to see what Jesus hype is about.

Tbf Jesus does exactly all those things in a City shirt. In general it looks like a lot of these City players have underperformed for their country which, in a way, is a compliment to Guardiola's coaching style.
This is a balanced team. Starting to think they're the favorites. Pity they won't meet France in the final, but I'll happily take a Brazil-Croatia event.
Don't think he's all that at city either. I must be missing something. Even if he's young.
I mean, type in his last name in google he doesn't even show up on the first page. There's some bearded guy.
Don't wanna get started on guardiola here.

Or proof that having a team full of quality players all specifically selected and expensively assembled to work together in a team makes it easier for individual players to perform?

Sure, but there are teams where that doesn't work out

Does he? Scored 13 goals in a team that scored 106.
Also most players perform better for their clubs than their countries, it's not exactly a rare phenomenon.
