Reasonably fast is pushing it. Part of why he's so bad defensively is because he doesn't have that recovery speed that so many other modern fullbacks have that also can't defend. He's just a very average player in everything bar his crossing.
I don't think he's particularly slow. Not very fast but his speed is adequate
He's however far worse than average at defending, he's literally no clue what to do when an attacker passes him
