His hypothetical availability was discussed in other threads. In this one the very first post mentions that he's a free agent after getting his contract terminated - it's not about to become a reality shortly it already is and has been for a week or so

You didn't bother to read this thread before posting did you Anzac?

Yeah I put that badly as there has been talk of his 'hypothetical' availability for some time.

What I meant was that he is reportedly part of a group of players who have now made submissions for their contracts to be negated based upon 'just cause' - hence my post above meaning that it could become a reality shortly, and even more so with Patricio reportedly signing with Wolves (being one of the first players to depart as a result of the attack).

I now see more clubs are coming out of the woodwork as being interested - not just in Martins but also our previous alternatives like Pavon and Lozano.

This is also not reportedly. It's already official.

Your posts are absurd.

I only saw the reports of them putting in their submissions around this time last week = my bad.

So happy that this is happening to Sporting. Will be interesting to see what becomes of Dost, Carvalho and Martins specifically.

Fuck off - so what if I hadn't seen it reported as official.

How hard is it to be respectful towards fellow posters for you? Must be a chore I bet.

He's just doing his job.

I give respect when the person has the decency to check things properly before posting.

That's the second time he has done this in this thread itself.

Also I haven't abused anybody unlike him.

The article I mentioned above said that he was one of several players who had made submissions to the Portuguese Securities Commission to have their contracts revoked based upon 'just cause'. I had not seen that mentioned previously so I thought it was a recent development, and hence my post about him.
I did not post a link because I saw the article whilst at work and had no recollection from where, which is also the reason why I had not given more detail.

If you don't think of calling people absurd as being a form of abuse, then I'd suggest you may wish to re think your definitions and actions regarding appropriate behaviour before you do so in the work place.

Seriously, who the fuck cares.

I called your posts absurd not you and they were-

1) Comparing one players league haul to another's overall haul is absurd
2) Posting old news without giving consideration to latest news and not reading & posting is absurd

Your opening post does not say anything about any submissions being made or that they are claiming 'just cause', so I had no reason to think it was 'old news'.

You are entitled to disagree with anything posted by anyone, but that does not give you or anyone else carte blanche to call it absurd.
Your lack of applying any context in doing so is akin to the pot calling the kettle black, and would be considered as abusive in the workplace. Perhaps your doing so can also be seen as being absurd, particularly after I have now provided an explanation for my perception, but by all means do continue.

The only person that has used abusive words is you

As I said - you may want to re think that before you use such terms in the workplace, particularly without applying any context - or not.
The key consideration in regards to inappropriate/abusive behaviour in the workplace is not the intent of the person using it, but the interpretation of the person hearing it - they do not have to be the subject, and all it takes if for 1 person to take offence.
Me, I'll just tell you to get fucked and call it a day.

Guys please chill out, no more bickering.

Lets stick on topic about Mertens.

;D

Really hope we get Gelson done. He's really exciting to watch and we haven't had a winger like him in ages. Would be the signing of the summer if we can get him on a free deal.

I fear he'd drive us mad with his dodgy final ball and general dodgy decision making.
