Your opening post does not say anything about any submissions being made or that they are claiming 'just cause', so I had no reason to think it was 'old news'.
You are entitled to disagree with anything posted by anyone, but that does not give you or anyone else carte blanche to call it absurd.
Your lack of applying any context in doing so is akin to the pot calling the kettle black, and would be considered as abusive in the workplace. Perhaps your doing so can also be seen as being absurd, particularly after I have now provided an explanation for my perception, but by all means do continue.
