Zielinski is crap

It's Nawalka who's crap. Poland have a couple of very good players the manager has no clue how to play them. Cissé on the other hand has built a very good team out of parts which aren't more talented than their counterparts, Best African team in the tournament so far and it's not close.

Hardly Nawalka's fault that Zielinski has given the ball away cheaply time and time again.

Poland pull one back. Should be an interesting finish

Excellent set piece by Poland. Senegal need to keep it together

Good header from Krychowiak. Don't go fucking it up now Senegal

what are they even checking with this?

Folks keep saying Szczesny has improved but he looks like the same old keeper to me.

Good win for Senegal, well deserved over a poor Poland.

Professional ending to the game. What a well organized team, in both directions. Credit to the youngest manager at the World Cup

Well done Senegal. Great win for Mane and his team.

Now let’s see if Salah is fit enough to face the Russians

We have a real battle on our hands. Next the two group winners face each other and the two losers each other too. Real opportunity for Senegal to put a toe in the next round.

I'm not well-versed on Polish managers, but based on the Euros and today's display I have to agree. Bloke seems clueless. To play Zielinski in a two-man midfield behind two strikers is a very weird move. He's a player who links midfield and attack but today he was positioned way too deep to be of any use. And for what? Milik who was situated higher up contributed with absolutely nothing of value.

Lewandowski was predictably bobbins today too. Is there any top player in Europe who disappears so often when the pressure is on? He scored 4 goals against Real Madrid six years or so ago. Since then he's been useless for both clubs and country whenever there's a big occasion. Zero shots on goal today. Zero shots in the entire game if you don't count the freekick he screwed up.

To me it looked a lot like he just tried to cram in all of his best players in whatever position they'd prefer. Lewandowski is a bottler but easily good enough to play a lot deeper to link central midfield to the attack namely Milik. Predictably enough however he stayed close to goal so he could be the one with the biggest chance to score and get the plaudits, can't wait to finally see him fuck off to Los Angeles to built his "brand"

I hadn't realised half these players were Senegalese. That is a seriously strong team, even has the pedigree to make semis.

Man, that was so typically Chesney. Maybe we don't want him back.

to be fair, he was apparently the only one who saw that Niang was sneaking behind.  Rash decision yes, but otherwise, he was through on goal anyway with the potential for a red card for someone dragging him down..

wasnt the worst decision he's ever made, and the other 2 Polish players are just as much to blame..   that said, we dont want him back, and we arent gonna have him back thanks to signing Leno, so......

This game is such a physical mismatch.

Japan's goalkeeper is dodgy as fuck. Two errors in two games?
