Germany could get away with this set up in the group stages but not if they meet a Brazil, Spain etc in the knockout stages. They've got 4 (!!!!) forwards on the pitch + 2 attacking fullbacks. Ridiculous!
No wonder there are so many holes in their midfield. I thought they'll rectify this issue (which was the main problem against Mexico IMO) but all they've done is bring in like for like replacements
