Fergie is just doing his part to maintain his image as football's biggest heel.

He's doing it so next week at Liverpool they get everything going their way, as per.

😆 Put a cap on him and he'll look just like Tony Pulis with a swollen nose.

Haven't seen Luiz for Chelsea yet, is he really as good as some are suggesting?

He's excellent.

He's rough so it's easy for him to get cards but otherwise he's technically gifted, has that power to drive forward and he's strong. Great finish for the goal. What he was doing up there I don't know but he's sort of like Vermaelen.

He's immense.

He needs to iron out a few kinks in his game but for a 23 year old defender he very good. His style reminds me of our Vermaelen, comfortable anywhere on the pitch and technically good with aggression.

Anyone see another embarrassing dive to add to Rooney's collection right before he scored??

David Luiz looks a very smart player for Cheatski.
Didn't see much from Ramires.

So am I correct to say that ManUre will face 'Pool without Evans/Vidic/Ferdinand.
It'll probably be Smallings-O'Shea (or Brown?) in the center with Fabio starting on the right.

Brown I would think who has the capacity to put in match winning performances when he isn't lying in a sickbed.

Liverpool will do very well to keep ManU out if they play like they did tonight. A draw is probably the best that we can hope for.

Yeah, don't fancy Liverpool to win the game myself.

Just got off the phone from my Man United supporting cousin, he reckons the following:

  • Chelsea kicked them off the park
  • the ref gave Chelsea the game
  • the penalty never was
  • Rooney never dived in today's game, at any point
  • stone wall penalty on Rooney, John Terry clipped his ankles
  • Luiz should have been sent off
  • Chelsea weren't on top
  • United were all over Chelsea at 1-1
  • United were robbed

I'm seeing him tomorrow at the Arsenal-Orient game, is he chatting complete bollox?

He's chatting bollocks. Punch his nose if you see him. Rooney dived in an attempt to win a penalty when there wasn't a player even close to him. He was on his way out of the box and realised his shit touch had put the ball too far away from him, so he went to ground. Probably figured he had someone in the back. Chelsea bossed the second half and Vidic should have been sent off already at the time he got his card.

Chelsea did kick them a lot though and Luiz should've been sent off, but that was after the 2-1 goal. It wouldn't have changed anything.

-Luiz kicked players and should have been sent off.
-Vidic and Giggs kicked out once they were losing and Vidic should have been off before he was sent off
-United should have had a penalty when Terry handballed it
-United were the better team in the first half but not the second. They were not robbed.
-the penalty was a penalty. No question
-United were not all over Chelsea at 1-1. It was even end to end stuff
-Rooney shouldn't have even been on the pitch after Wigan.

Thanks. This will deflect Sunday nicely methinks.

I watched the game with a couple of Man U supporting friends.
They were/are fuming.
In their eyes they were robbed and the referee handed the game to Chelsea.

I think Atkinson did a great job myself 😃 and on balance Chelsea deserved the win 😆

I hope this derails United now.

Just saw the penalty incident - it was nailed on. Very clumsy from Smalling, and Zhirkov goes over his outstretched foot. Clear as day.

From these highlights, Luiz looked like he was very shaky defensively. A bit stupid and naive in his defending at times. Great strike for the goal though.

Whatever Fergie says about the referees, they shouldn't take any notice.
I saw what he said about the FA before their verdict over Rooney was given, saying if they punished him it would prove that they treat Man Utd differently to other clubs (and not in a good way). Complete psychological trip from him, he knew full well why everybody was annoyed about the incident but he tries to play it to make the FA the villain of the piece in his favour.

Atkinson in the Chelsea game was a ref who didn't care if he did things that would upset Utd. Their fans aren't used to the refs being more hard on their players and so they feel they were robbed.
