This guy is the turkish correspondent for the guardian so apparently reliable
Caglar Soyuncu
Soyuncu's agent: 'Everything bar a fee has been agreed with Arsenal'
His agent talks a lot. The fee is the big problem anyways, 35 mil is to much...can't really see us paying it.

We paid that amount for Xhaka and that Mustafi. Not a lot of money for us.
If this is true I can only assume one of Mustafi or Chambers are leaving. Even then we'd still have 5 centre backs so maybe Holding or Mavropanos would have to go out on loan.
Would rather keep Calum 100% over Mustafi.
Absolutely. Has to be Mustafi leaving and maybe Holding going on loan - was some discussion about him going to Newcastle, no?
Recent international against Russia. Some good stuff in there; he's a very good front-foot defender; anticipates very well and is quick, aggressive and agile. He doesn't look as good on the ball as I'd hoped and like he has a mistake in him--the one he made there was really poor. Also seems to have a touch of the Mustafis about him of not knowing when to stay on your feet and hold your position.
Not sure how ready he'd be to contribute next season. Under the scrutiny he'd be subjected to at Arsenal, he could find it very difficult to have the time he'd need to mature and iron out the wrinkles in his game.
I’m not convinced by him. Diallo is the boy to get
There's a lot to work with there even disregarding the inevitable mistakes he'll make you feel you could get a very solid defender out of him. Not even remotely interested at the fees touted though, if we pay that much we definitely should go for Diallo or go all the way and sign Pavard
I agree, there's definitely lots of good things about his game.
Another recent one here of his performance against Tunisia:
I like how aggressive he is and also how he takes charge when Tosun is losing his head after being sent off. Lots of good things in there.
Seems to have a similar style to Mavropanos. Looks like a natural born leader as well.
It would be amusing to have a Turk, an Armenian and a Greek starting for us. Adds to the existing jokes on this combination.

Bosnian too. We just need to add a Serb to complete the set. Milinkovic-Savic?
The president of Soyuncu's former club Altinordu, says he's on his way to Arsenal and that he turned down a late bid from Bayern Munich:
Didn't this guy make a similar claim nearly 2 months ago? Wonder why he's being so voluble on this.

Dem Balkan Boys
Although born in Switzerland, Xhaka is of Albanian-Serbian heritage, and Mustafi (born in Germany) is of Albanian-Macedonian heritage.
This makes me not want any more players of mixed Albanian heritage.
Or any more players named Mustafi

Supposedly quotes from Soyuncu saying that there is an offer from Arsenal which he has accepted and the clubs now need to agree. Seems to suggest that he has rejected all other offers and is ours to get at a fee.
