Honestly I don't think that's nearly enough to suggest that Emery lost the dressing room. One player (Miguel is a different bloke to the Watford centre back btw) was involved in some altercation during his holidays and so was Manuel Fernandes at some other point. There are so many players doing stupid shit if it resulted in a manager losing the dressing room every time there wouldn't be any managers left. Sir Alex Fungus himself one of the most draconian locker room tyrants had an ex player hold up a Rest in Peace banner with his name on it 😆

If you see players slacking off regularly involved in off the pitch stuff that's when you start to worry, that incident you linked to is standard stuff in my opinion.

The only negative comments about Emery seem to be in relation to his player ego / personality management.

I could only see that being an issue for Özil, though I don't know enough about Aubameyang to be sure.

It's basically like the way every team has a mantra and it becomes second nature. Even the marines has "no man gets left behind". You can frame thought by using these over and over again. The all blacks have "no assholes". Theres no star big enough to get away with being out of line.

Wenger used to talk about mental toughness a lot. "This team is great at bouncing back". And true enough his team's bounced back like nobody else's. It gave him more lives than a cat.

Fans got childishly peaved at him saying things like this.
