I think a lot of people have to be fair, myself included. Was thoroughly underwhelmed at first, but the more I've read about the man and listening to his press conference now, the more apparent it becomes that he actually ticks a lot of my boxes.
I maintain that if he joined us without taking a detour via Paris, the news would be forced to be more optimistic.
From a practical perspective, it's probably a good thing that he's had a few scars from his time in France. Builds character - and it's not like he failed either, he just didn't beat Barcelona in a CL knockout round.
