Football has lost its soul.

Why has football lost its soul? What does that even mean?

Teams aren't local owned or local players. And support is global. I used to think like football has lost it soul. But I don't really think that way anymore. If they wanna change it up so more people can watch more fun games then why not?

Just wonder how UEFA would be able to fund it - the CL is the poor relation to the EPL.
And that being the case why would the PL clubs want to leave the PL revenues that still have plenty of scope before they reach US Sports levels.
94m each sounds like a lot but it's not a great deal more than they are already generating, and may not be that much more than the new TV deals.

Change has to be inclusive though. It is already a preserve of a few teams. Strengthening their finances further only widens the gulf. It's more global than it ever was and it's attracting more audience every year. Listening to some kids talk here most times it seems that other clubs exist only to make up numbers.

Yea that's the drawback of globalisation.
