He has no shame. We're stuck with him. Doesn't mean we have to or should under any circumstances use him next season though.
The Ozil Money Pit

The embarrassment might just push him a little more.
The problem with this is, it might damage our reputation when trying to sign other top players.

The way he walked off he brought it in himself.
He has to go this summer. He's had 5 good games in 2 years. He was a great player but my God his level of performance has fallen off a cliff. By hook or by crook he has to be playing for someone else next season.
There were about 5 Arsenal fans there, how could it possibly have been brutal? I barely heard anything over the TV.
Would people be willing to pay him off to leave?
Yes. He's as damaging to us as Mustafi in his own way, and I'd gladly accept it if the club said they had come to some sort of agreement over the remainder of his contract.
Why was he allowed to walk off like that?
Where was the leadership from other senior players? The captain? He should have been dragged off by someone.

Maybe but I've seen plenty of clubs cast off players and treat them like shit without it hurting them for future signings. In a way I think we need to make an example of Ozil, players think we are a soft touch and they're not wrong.

Absolutely. If we have to loan him out to Turkey for a fraction of his wages I'd accept it. The damage of the contract us done, there is no point doubling down on it by keeping him around.
You can't get worse than how Liverpool treated Suarez and yet good players still choose to go there.
Hope he leaves this summer.
I wonder how much Ozil earns from personal sponsorships. On one hand, he might be fine with collecting 350k/week even if it meant being banished to the bench or even reserves. However, on the other hand, being out of spotlight for a couple of years must badly hurt his brand in terms of sponsors, especially when he's no longer with German NT.
I wouldn't mind keeping him around as a bench player though, until his contract runs out. Unless a decent offer comes in from someone willing to pay majority of his wages.

Yeah absolutely. The players all just gave up although Emery was still pushing everyone forward in the 90 minutes to get the game back.
He experienced 3 goals by Barca after the 90th min as a PSG manager he knew anything could happen.

What does he offer off the bench? I'd rather give those minutes to Nelson, Smith-Rowe or Willock.
For all of Sanchez's failures at United, at least he tries to do something.

He’s clearly deteriorated but is still capable of moments against the smaller sides, and it’s either that or pay his wages to play for another club. I guess the main reason to get rid of him would be to make a statement.

What I'd do for a leader like Kompany.

I read something today that suggested Sanchez had more assists than Ozil this year. Not sure how accurate it was but it’s believable, and a condemning stat, as if one was needed.
Ozil is a disgrace. No heart, no desire, but this should have been expected as soon as he signed the contract. Like an abused partner in a failing relationship, we offered up everything we had to keep him and it worked. He didn’t stay because he was motivated to make things work, he stayed because he was comfortable and it was an easy lifestyle. Ozil stopped being a footballer two years ago. He’s a brand now and that’s it.
I'd add that he's not the only one that should be criticised, but I can't wait to see the back of him.
Checked the stats, yeah Sanchez has 5 assist and Ozil just 3.

Well if you could get another club to pay even a part of his wages thats money you can use to pay a player who'll give you more than Ozil does.
