Decent chance he gets his debut, as there's no Koscielny or Mustafi. Could go with Mertesacker instead though. No Ramsey, Wilshere, Özil or Lacazette either.

Osei-Tutu, Willock, Nelson and Nketiah are the other youngsters to have travelled.

Well it seems like Kos, Mustafi, Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil, Monreal and Laca have all been left behind.

Apparently the squad that travelled is as follows:

Cech, Ospina, Bellerin, Chambers, Holding, Kola, Xhaka, Iwobi, Mkhi, Welbeck, and Auba. Additionally the kids who travelled are as follows: AMN, Nelson, Nketiah, Willock, Mavropanos, Osei-Tutu.

Don't know why it seems lioe we travelled with only 16 players but that's according to Metro Sport

@Ricky, interestingly it seems as though Rowe has not actually travelled after all.

Also think that this scenario is simply another example of squad mismanagement by AW,
in that we lack any real depth away from our preferred match day squad,
and it has been that way for some time.

We've been here before with Wenger, before the second leg against Barca in 2011 comes to mind.

I can't remember a time the decision to rest a lot of players in the league or in Europe (other than dead rubbers) has paid dividends in the competition deemed more important.

Seems likely that we'll cop a battering here, damage the morale of a few young players, and carry a sense of gloom on to Madrid.

Disagree. If we play strong team and lose it will be even worse.

Wenger is making the right call based on his risk assessment.
