It can't happen in Spain because La Liga doesn't allow clubs to poach managers in contract at other Spanish clubs. Serie A has clauses for managers, Milan activated Montellas for example when he was at Sampdoria and Sarri is heavily rumoured to have one too. It's not as common as with players obviously as the market is a lot smaller but it happens all the time almost everywhere.

This was the Mancini incident where Sarri allegedly called the former City managers f*****. Not pretty. Don’t know if he used a racist slur as well that day but would be odd if he used one against Mancini. For all his faults, not the types of things Wenger would be mixed up in

Yes, Sarri is an old homophobe and he's been known to shout racist slurs after people on the sidelines. He works in a country where fans of the national team throw bananas at their own players so it has never attracted enough attention, but he's an awful person and things are bound to get more problematic when you dig into his character. I reckon Mancini was spot on about him.

I really doubt we have a 50m pound budget. We are constantly breaking even, and then we finally go out and bring a new manager and tell him rebuild the team on 50m pounds? Our capital structure can support much more than 50m pounds. It’s a question of what we can achieve under FIFA and Premier League rules

Challenge for top 4 - maybe. Who knows what the real potential of this squad is with a real manager.

Depends on the manager, don't think you necessarily need a long time to build on what we have with the right manager.

City finished three points ahead of us just last season and looked like complete shit for large patches. Does anyone really think it's Bernardo Silva or Kyle fucking Walker who's turned them into the league steamrolling team they are? And that's with Guardiola having a style that is pretty difficult to implement with a good percentage of their squad.

Give us Simeone and Ortega, bring in maybe one or two guys with him from Madrid, ditch and replace those who can't cope with his training methods and we're back up there.
