We need someone young, ambitious and with fresh ideas. "A proven track record" means nothing to me - anyone who coached a team with Messi in it has a proven track record but that doesn't mean he can do the same with Lacazette.

I would love Allegri or even Conte if he leaves Chelsea.

Jardim could do well I think, I don't want Enrique, Henry, Vieira or other names like that are in the press.

I think either we announce today/soon someone who is currently out of job or leaving in the summer anyway (Tuchel/Ancelloti/Enrique/Conte), or wait til the summer to appoint someone who is currently managing a club (Jardim and dozens of others).

Yeah, let's not hire more old men who are out of tune with modern football. He's at that stage of his career where he gets big gigs simply because of his name and now he's run out of clubs. He has been thoroughly underwhelming at PSG, Real and Bayern, delivering the bare minimum those clubs expected. His last great season was back in 2010. Of all the good choices around he's probably the worst one.

Gurgen's right - going for the best track record is pointless with football looking the way it does. There are so many Mourinhos, Capellos and van Gaals out there who would be the footballing equivalent of stepping on a landmine. Hiring them is just regressive. You go for the guy who has the best traits. That's how you end up with a manager who has a transformative effect on a club, much like Wenger had when we hired him back in the 90s.

Tuchel gets my vote. Love his ideas about football and how demanding he is of his players on the training pitch.

Nagelsmann would be interesting - seems like an extraordinary man managwr from what I have read and seen, but I'm not overly sure what his football's like really.

Jardim isn't for me. Don't see him as a good fit with the club.

Ancelotti wouldn't be a disaster but I see that as a sideways, cautious, slightly cowardly, choice.

I would quite like a couple of our ex-players back involved if it was agreeable for the new manager. Henry, Keown, Adams, Bergkamp - those kind of men.
