Keep seeing Jardim's name linked by a lot of Arsenal fans. Can someone with extensive knowledge of his background/career explain why he's so highly thought of? Don't get me wrong, I'm aware of his achievements at Monaco but outside of that I can't see how he's shown himself to have a more impressive CV than say AVB, for example. My point being, we should aim for someone with a consistently top level track record, proven over a number of seasons and I'm not sure I see that with Jardim.

To be honest agreeing a deal with a potential successor, when you still have your current manager in place is a horrible business. We have gone about this in the best way possible without the messy mud slinging.

I know what you mean but realistically, I suspect the conversation has been going on all season and they most likely had his blessing in looking for a new manager.
