I read somewhere that AVB gave up his managerial career to participate in the Paris-Dakar rally.
Laudrup pretty much gave up on his career too. He's raking in millions in Qatar.
De Boer has become a joke after his stints at Inter and Crystal Palace.
Mancini is the most viable option of the ones you mention but it would be a hugely underwhelming appointment.
I don't know anything about van Bronckhorst or Cocu as managers but surely neither of them have the pedigree to manage Arsenal.
I just don't understand any conversation or short list that has BR ahead on any of these - at least until some debate in regards to their bona fides - even the likes of De Boer who I think was given the short end of the stick at both Inter and Palace in particular.
Likewise I know little about the styles of either Van Bronkhorst or Cocu but I'd place higher regard as to the quality of opposition in their domestic league, and their experience as players as being able to relate with their players.
IIRC there was something written when Cocu broke De Boers run at Ajax that he was more direct in transition and less possession oriented, and also more flexible in not being limited to short passing alone?
No ideas on Van Bronkhorst although he says he was and is influenced by AW's coaching style from when he was a player here.
