Sad and exciting news.

Great memories. I started watching soccer and got glued to arsenal. Ironically it was after unbeaten season that I started watching. 2007 season was amazing for me but the leg break and the end!!!.

. Winning the fa cups was like a dream. I thought I am never gonna see arsenal win with Wenger. Incredible and I was always perplexed as to why he always handicapped himself going into a season. I never understood and will probably never will.

Thank you for the memories arsene. Wish you all the luck for future.

Whoever they appoint now have big shoes to fill. Excited that there is a change.

Had to happen. Mixed feelings nonetheless, as expressed already by several posters. Basically everyone, except for Kel and Gurgen. πŸ˜†

You people are too soft πŸ˜†

Piers Morgan is happy too. You're in good company.

I really wish we win the Europa League. Said it before, as much I as wanted him to go, I knew it would be quite emotional when it came to it. Thank you Arsene. His work will be even more appreciated a few years down the line.

There are 10 little sotries from Henry Winter. Class.

Wow... I just assumed he would see out his contract as he's always done. I think many of you are right in saying this has been in the works for a little while, we were possibly just looking to get the new staff around him settled in before him leaving. He was, and still is, the most winning manager we've had in our history. He definitely revolutionized the club, but that was really the first half of his tenure. in the second half, he's had us living on scraps without seeming like we had a real plan. It's certainly unfortunate that the last 5 years has seen the faith in him eroded to such a low point, but I do think he brought much of it on himself.

I will think WAY more fondly of him after he is gone than I have in the past few years. I also hope beyond hope that we win the fuckin Europa League in his final season. That gets us CL next season AND will finally give him that elusive European trophy (even if its the lesser of the 2).

Welcome back Alf. While you're here what say you give, the boys and Arsene one more rousing, motivational speeches for old times sake.

If we do then Tony has to be banned from making any more fucking win the fucking threads and instead leave that to Dules.

πŸ˜† fuck off mate. We could have won the title that season if you didn't snake off and hung Wenver out to dry after your first fully fit season of football.

Slightly surprised this place is filled with some happiness. My first reaction of this news is utter shock, not anybody have leaked this or if there is any clue today is the day. Then afterwards it is filled with immense sadness. All the memories of the glory days and his happiness start flowing back. Not a single time I was happy after his departure announcement, which is so ironic given that I wanted him to leave since a few years ago.

Until the new manager start winning in style with us, I would probably miss Arsene all the way. Merci Arsene. Lets win everything for him that's remaining this season.

I suspect I'm the only one here who stuck with Wenger from the Champion's League Final to today backing him (not with anger, frustration etc) so this really is sad. As much as there are problems I would've given him one last year.

To do what?

Relieved, just a tinge of sadness....
Didn't know the club, Wenger, Invincibles before the LOSS to Barca in the CL...That's the day I became an Arsenal fan....
