France didn’t qualify for the World Cup in 94 so it must have been 86 (I don’t think they qualified for Italia 90 but correct me if I’m wrong)!

Definitely. I didn't think of Sterling as a forward but I probably should. Terribly underrated by the looks of it. He was arguably the best English player in Premier League this season. Peak Pires/Ljungberg-like output.
