You’re talking about the man from Highbury and maybe even the first 5 years of Ashburton. It’s like listening to an early career Jay-Z who put great effort into weaving stories with rich imagery and metaphors, versus the old man who now typically just lazily cobbles together a few self-celebratory lines about his life. Perhaps this is why Jay says he likes Arsenal. Maybe he sees a bit of Wenger in himself: still rapping but repping off his past.
