TBH I'd be delighted with no incomings this month if it meant we can bin Welbeck like we have done with Walcott and Coq.
Season is over anyway. Have Sven set up real exciting signings like Malcom for the summer, and sack Wenger then.

That's what I hope for as well. He actually ended last season and started this season pretty strongly. I'd say Mourinho completely destroyed him.
The problem with that sort of combination play is that it rarely gets us goals. If we don't sign a goal scorer along with those players we'll drop even more points than we have been this season.

This is the main upside of this deal for me. He's better than Welbz.
High praise indeed.

you don't think Laca can be that player?

Not on his own. If Laca can become a 20 goal striker great but I don't think he'll be a 25-30 goal striker. Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Welbeck, etc aren't going to pick up that slack. We need another goal scorer. Whether thats an outright scorer like Aubameyang or someone like Mahrez who can add goals from the wing/AM, either way we need goals.

now Mahrez is someone i could get behind.. he had a low point last season, but was brilliant the season before and has been very good this season as well...
in fact.. we're seemingly going to be getting Mhkit, so Aub and then Mahrez in the summer while keeping Ozil and binning Welbeck would be a pretty good step forward IMO
Mahrez was excellent against Chelsea. Just what we need.
agree, he was the standout player in that game.. ran them f*ckin ragged

It's the hope that kills you mate

True that... luckily i dont spend much energy on hope with Arsenal... lol..
besides, it all makes too much sense, which means it won't happen
Why in fucks's name are we not getting Mahrez?
Raiola holding up the deal according to orny. Trying to cash in on both clubs eagerness to get things sorted os my guess
Scenes if this falls through and we've let malcom go as well
Raiola is the worst fuckin blight in football.. (transfer-wise, at least)

Just an ordinary window then.
All the formations seem to have Mkhi on the left, but I was under the impression this guy was a right inside-forward? Did he play on the right or the left for Dortmund? Does he have a strong weak foot? We can't have both AMs constantly cutting inside if we're going to play 2 strikers. Need someone who can cross.
I'd play Ozil on the left and this guy on the right, personally. Think it would be much better in the event both Lacazette and Aubameyang start up top for us.
Raiola is such vermin. Making a fortune out of exploiting half-literate boys.
All the reason to give the money to Leicester
Gurgen wrote:Raiola is such vermin. Making a fortune out of exploiting half-literate boys.
Really? I was under the impression that he's actually pretty educated for a footballer. Might have been media talk ofc

"for a footballer".. lol...
i mean, i dont think the guy is Flamini or anything..
Reading through the first few pages of his transfer thread from 2016, basically nobody wanted this guy:

skims through thread, sees that i was shitting on him at the time, breathes sigh of relief
Last few pages are very different though, as soon as it looked like he was going to United
The transfer hype builds up and we mostly get carried away with it.
Even the first page was pretty much 50/50 on him

Done deal
Mkhitaryan is a decent player but that is daylight robbery, why on earth did we agree to that, better off forcing Sanchez to stay or just sell to City.
No money Ffs.
Horrible deal. Wenger fucked us over again.
We're now gambling hugely that Mkhitaryan somehow turns his career around.
I wouldn’t expect money - Sanchez’s market value must be about £30m to £35m and that’s probably what Mkhitaryan’s is

At the age of 29 ffs

With the amounts that are being paid to alexis and his agent it's no surprise we're not getting cash in return as well. We should've walked away from the deal
Hopefully this delicate flower can find his way again. One thing we're definitely known for is toughening players up mentally

If Mkhitaryan's market value is that we should've gone for someone else.
Just glad Sanchez is gone. It’s been a bit like watching one of those TV shows were there’s an imposter bedded in with the good guys. Bring in Auba too and I’ll at least look forward to our games again.
Folks talking about us getting a load of money for Sanchez need to wake up to reality. The guy can literally sign a pre-contract agreement with a club today and we’d get fuck all and be stuck with a sulking, moody primadonna for the next six months.
what a disaster of a transfer.
wenger out. way fucking out.
WOW.
I’ve always thought Mkhitaryan a really good player. The fact Mourinho couldn’t get anything out of him doesn’t really perturb me.

Is this really a straight swap because I'm reading other reports saying it's player + cash? If it is a straight swap then we have been fucking swindled.
