He'd be better than Evans but not by much, he's the furthest thing from a leader type you could imagine

Also he's 30. Diallo at Mainz is cheaper and already better, could be our next Koscielny if we sign him now

hes not a good footballer. hes athletic, but hes not an intelligent defender, he isnt positionally sound and he is not what we need.

I also want Diallo more, but I'm resigned to thinking it's Evans or nobody.

I don't mind signing a scumbag but, leaving aside how good he may or may not be, Luiz stylistically seems like about the last thing we need in a defender. We've got Mustafi for that sort of role.

I feel similar. Haven't really watched him play and though he sounds good I feel it doesn't make much difference who comes or goes as long as Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke remain in charge. Expect we'll be seeing either him or Lacazette out on the left wing, but hopefully we get a couple of good seasons out of him.

I think you guys underestimate the impact of bringing in the package deal. Nobody is happier than Ozil right now. In Mkhitaryan, he finally has someone he can offload playmaking duties to, knowing that if he makes a run, he should be able to receive a return ball that he can then forward to Aubameyang, etc. we’ve had so many breakdowns up front because the only instinctive playmakers on the team are Ozil and Jack, and Jack is often too far back to be influential in the final third. We just need the two of Ozil and Mkhi behind Aubama, and we will be laughing like hyenas.
