Edu doesn't manage the squad; Emery does. There seems to be an awful lot of confusion about the roles for whatever reason. Emery is responsible for the players we have, who leaves, who plays where and he quite obviously has a say in who we bring in too. There's no one selling and buying players without consulting him. It doesn't work that way in any football club in Europe, Real Madrid being the only exception I can think of, and even there it's only on the rare occasion when Perez acting as president overrides everyone.
