Didn't look too clever at 2-0 getting battered by west ham the other week or the week before when the most fortunate of circumstances conspired to give them the win.

You never want to say never in this game, but I do believe that this season may well have been the last chance for the likes of Lampard and Terry. As for going to United, needing to win and benching Drogba... that's just mental. Abramovich appears to be both a gift and a curse for Chelsea.

United are a team built to win trophies, it's simple as that. Historically and technically speaking, they're plodders. 6-7 years ago if you'd said a midfield combination of Giggs, Carrick, & Park, mixed with a purely counter-attacking style of play, would get Man United to a CL semi-final I'd have laughed at you. They're capable of mugging any team left in the comp at Wembley as well.

Giggs is amazing. No, he didn't deserve his player of the year award recently (just as another Welshman won't deserve his this year), but he is a quality attacking mid. Some of his passing in the last few weeks has been terrific. I watch him and wish Le Bob had been allowed to play with us for 3 or 4 years while we were handing the squad over to the Nasris of this world.
