Ffs United have gone into "eyes on the prize" mode again, and it's all thanks to Fergie. He's turned them from the free-scoring, full blooded United of 93-03, into a well-drilled team of efficient foot soldiers. He might be a churlish man-child, but he has moved with the times. Barca are the only team in the world with enough belief, experience and quality to show them up in a big game, everyone else is just lacking.

Ricky is right.

What i hate about them is their ability to do well over a course of a season. And they do better in big games than us in general. They're better than Chelsea and been since 2006/07 for the most part.

What's disgusting is we have literally put zero pressure on them. Who knows whether they would have come back at West Ham on Saturday had we won the two games against Sunderland and West Brom? They certainly would have been a lot more worried at 0-2 than they were.

It's all relative Ricky. They have a bad record at Anfield and the Bridge. But look at where they are now - getting the job done in April. There's a strong historical case that they would've responded well to us pressuring them in the league anyway. I really don't rate them as individuals, and yes they can be shown up quality-wise, but collectively they're the most durable team in the premiership.

They're set to win the league with the lowest points total since we blew it in 02/03, hell if they drop another 4 points it will be the lowest total to win the league since the 90's. Not saying they don't deserve credit for doing what they need to do, but lets face it, ourselves, Chelsea and City have handed them the league on a plate.

I agree that we did blow it this season. 2008 comes to mind as well. But then you could say that about United last season. In fact you could say that about Chelsea every season they didn't win it since 2005/06 or United since 1993 except 2004.
