A member of Bobby Robson's brilliant Ipswich Town team of the mid '70s, and the '78 FA Cup Final loss to Ipswich was the first chance I had to watch the club after deciding to become a supporter.
I was pleased when he later joined us despite his best years being behind him, and his cause of death makes this a little more personal (as it does with anyone who passes under such circumstances).

I would agree with you in general but this is an Italian soccer hero who just won the Euros less than a week ago.

Chiesa should have his fun (don’t do drugs kids etc) but should know the risk as well. Of course he was going to be filmed being off his fucking trolly.

Italian football fans never cease to disappoint.

Newly signed Lazio full back Elsid Hysaj (Ex-Napoli) was recently filmed singing the song Ciao Bella.

The song is famously associated with the anti-fascist movement / Italian left wing.

On cue, he has started receiving death threats from the Lazio ultras who have now gone on to hang banners proclaiming how Hysaj is scum and Lazio is produly a fascist club.

If you're not in awe of this guy as a player you really don't like football and should be watching a different sport.

Modern football's biggest failure is that it doesn't produce players like this anymore. European football broke Brazil and turned them into bleak copies of itself, and the sport has been worse off from an entertainment POV ever since.
