Right, didn't we punt an injured Özil into something resembling a fullback role in the first game? It's easy to talk i hindsight, once people forget the details. Rodgers is the one who lost his job because the bulk results weren't good enough though.

Double man marking our best player only works if the players around him don't exploit the extra space.
Henry used to drag double markers outside for Pires to exploit the space through the centre.

Rogers would like to think his tactical master class beat us that day but we just didn't turn up and played with no intensity. Winning the next fixture 4-1 highlights that.
