Did you read it? Pep's "tactic" failed and the only thing that saved them was a shit Ozil pen and a sending off + penalty for them.

If that's all it takes, I don't see why we don't win every match against the bottom 15 teams.

I didn't say it's all it takes. We have our own failings in addition to lacking in quality, but within the context of facing Barcelona, Bayern or Real Madrid it's kinda naive to suggest that the big difference maker was the manager. At which point in the last 8 years have they not had the biggest, best and most expensive squads in the world?

We built the team we wanted. Post the Henry/Invincible years, I don’t believe this (or the teams we had when we faced his) were even close the best we could have done with the resources and influence we still had at the time. But we’ve all had this debate before

That's because they have leverage in almost guaranteeing the title which is a high currency for any player.
For this reason, i expect Goretzka to sign for them in the summer for less money than he could earn from other clubs.
manu, under fungus, did the same and used to add that with the nonsense that playing for them is the pinnacle of a player's career.
