Yeah, the comments coming out of Monaco are to the contrary. On Mbappe, Vasilyev mentioned how they'd turn down any offer but said if he wants to leave it's another matter. Jardim said he hopes Mbappe decides to stay. It doesn't sound like a 'he's going nowhere' stance.

Didn't watch much of Monaco early in the year so I missed what sounds like Lemar's peak, but he looks ready to be a great player from what I've seen in late season games/highlights. Has a little bit of Pires in him in that he does wonders with a soft touch, and opposite/alongside Alexis he would be deadly.

We don't pay over the odds for a player like Utd though.

It's going to be very difficult to get a player from Monaco; they usually get top dollar for the players they sell.

So it's not difficult, it's just expensive. It's generally not particularly hard to get what you want if you're willing to pay what it costs.

Not really, Bernardo Silva went for just over 43m and Bakayoko allegedly for 35m. Not exactly costing the earth and Lemar is a similar profile.

I wasn't bluffing; it's just a matter of survival for them. They are a small, poorly supported provincial team, without a proper sugar daddy, in an unattractive, non cash rich league.

The Bernardo deal also includes 17.5m pounds in performance clauses. Martial could potentially cost 58m pounds. I think Lemar will be in between these two and Bakayoko.

We'll see what happens, I hope that we do get him.

If you want him just fucking pay. Arsenal get too wrapped up in dollars and cents while carrying deadwood and constantly selling players at forced sale value. If I was a shareholder, I would sue this board.

Put in a proper offer. Give them £10m more and an option for more if he hits 20 French caps or top 30 in the world player of the year. His stats are nuts for a 21 year old

They are well funded from their mega sales past few seasons, as well as properly bankrolled by their Russian Billionaires.

But their policy has been to sell if the players want to leave, as long as you pay up. Wenger is desperate, so he will pay up no problems.
