I love Phil Jones
Premier League 2017/18
I would never have had you pegged as a Phil Jones fan
What's not to love?
Wow, incredible save from Flappy to deny Joselu a sure goal
That save is out of the world.
De Boer sacked after 77 days.
TBH it seems like a pretty good decision.
Feels like if you're going to sign someone to change things you should give them a little more time, that being said they look pretty terrible. Seems they've reverted right back into their English manager from the Jurassic period filter in appointing Roy.
They played fantastic yesterday. Created chances after chances, dominated possession that I have never seen Palace done before.
Crazy to sack him after that performance.

Is this a joke?
Sacking a manager four games into the season is never a good decision. De Boer is known to be a slow starter and a team like Palace were never going to immediately play the way he wanted them to. And that's leaving aside that they already visibly improved and that he's being replaced by fucking Roy
Football is a mad, mad place. De Boer is going to find it difficult to get a decent top flight job after this.
Paul Pogbo has been savaged by Garth Crooks of all people

De Boer should've learned from his past stint with Inter that he needs to have more compromise with his system. You have to adapt/build tactics to the players that you have available.
Palace should take some of the blame as well. It was a bad move to hire De Boer in the first place, he didn't fit their style of play at all.

Saw that

Agree there, it was a terrible move hiring him but at least they recognised that mistake before they'd fallen too far.
People can bleat all they want because they like deBoers style but 4 games, 4 losses and no goals is the start of a relegation season. Especially with 3 of the 4 teams they've played being potential relegation battlers too.

If you're signing him you need to give him the time to properly implement his methods properly. Now you're getting a new guy in who'll have to start from scratch meaning the next four games are a write-off too while under de Boer they'd have definitely improved
Not to mention they had a clear improvement at Burnley. The players showed they are playing for him.
Why sack De Boer for being De Boer when that's the reason you hired him in the first place?
Apparently De Boer and the board had a complete breakdown in relationship, so they were never going to give him time.
How did their relations break down in a month?
They thought they hired Ronald.
