Wenger wanted him last summer too so hopefully he's pretty confident about what he can get from him. I've my doubts about his attitude though. Could have pushed for this move last summer but instead coasted for Leicester and had a pretty bad season.
alternate take: he might have felt indebted to leicester for bringing him to the league, making him a key player in the squad, and winning the title in a once in a lifetime run. i thought i remember him saying he wanted to leave last year, but he agreed to stay for a year with a promise that he could leave this summer.
lets assume that alexis/ozil/lacazette is our front 3.
mahrez would then be an impact sub. £28m is a lot to pay for an impact sub, but how many times have we been crying for a goal in the 70th minute and we have no real attacking threat to bring on. and of course, there will still be plenty of games to go around.
