Well we probably shouldn't have known about the existence of the clause. Bidding 40m + 1 indicated that we had likely been in contact with the agent and/or player prior to making our bid.

i always felt that if iwobi hadn't broken through when he did, we'd have signed dembele when he left rennes. should've signed him anyway imo
