The kid supposedly has his pick of clubs this year with massive contract offers on the table and it's still looking like he's going to elect to stay at Monaco. Don't think there's much that could have been done about it last year.

I have a feeling that we blew this before the transfer window even opened unfortunately. The lack of Champions League has put us in a bit of a state. Not only are we competing in a second rate European cup next year, but our best players are looking to leave now. And that's in addition to officially being the 5th best team in England. How are you going to convince top talents to pick us over other clubs under such circumstances? The only way to attract someone of note is to invest massive amounts of money and hope that it's seen as us being ambitious.

We haven't won the league for 13 years now, and more importantly have a wretched reputation in Europe.

CL is less of a factor when you make 100m pounds more than the next guy. You can buy a Pogba and still match their transfer haul

Man Poo are the richest club in the world. £500m+ Revenue per year. Crazy amounts. Mourinho said something like Pogba was cheap and everyone will realise that in the next couple of years, I agree.

It's why I think, Mbappe even for £100m, is a good investment.

We're a classy club, but unfortunately you don't get trophies for classiness. We probably missed out on a few hundred signings this way.

It would be hilarious if these tapping up claims led to us being the club to sign the hottest young talent in football after the same 'classy' behaviour has contributed to us missing out on so many other signings!
