I trust teams like PSG and Monaco to entice the parents with opaque transfer fee add-ons. This will be like Neymar and various other transfers that are later found to be 'complicated'. By the way, how did Barca escape serious punishment for that Neymar deal?

per that last update from GFFN, mendes has somehow finagled his way into any potential mbappe deal as well. there will definitely be 'complicated' fees when that fecker is involved

I've read that Mbappe's family wants nothing to do with Mendes, and it has gotten to the point where they've discarded clubs where they'd be forced to work with the weasel as part of the deal. Hard to know what's really going on here.

Not hard to know, Klausie. There's a 125m pound deal in the making. Will pay for a lot of people's Lamborghini's if they can have a hand in the deal. A guy like Mendes has probably approached clubs with an offer to secure the boy for a handsome success fee (say 10% of any transfer).

Yeah he has close links to the club rather than the player. No surprise if he is trying to get involved and make a cut out of the transfer!

PSG are in no better position to give him a starting position than RM,
and neither are likely to build a team around him at this point,

But would you rather have your own team or be Kevin Durant on the warriors? There's good and bad to both sides. Gareth Bale would be the standout player in the EPL as a healthy forward at United, City or Arsenal. But he wouldn't have Champs League trophies to crow about.

Mbappe will also look at the fact that Zidane has taken a chance on young or unfancied players this season, and think "I'm as good as any of those guys".
