aguero was linked to real a few years ago, if i remember correctly. a few points:

i wouldnt automatically assume madrid will spend huge on a new striker. i suspect that ronaldo is going to play centrally almost exclusively next season in order to preserve his physical well-being.
if we sell alexis to man city (i dont think we will) then we should demand aguero as part of any deal
i dont think we're going to buy mbappe, but id be fine with it if we did
i hope we're also looking at strengthening the other key areas that require attention and we dont spend all summer on this drawn out saga while our rivals get much better

Diego wanted his son in law at RM before he went to Citeh, and it was thought that Citeh was merely a stepping stone to allow him to not be accused of going directly to Athletico's derby rival.

RM were reportedly interested in Aubameyang last summer after he said his ambition was to play for them, and that's why we thought RM may on sell Morata to us at the time.

I'd be surprised if Mbappe moved now that Jardim has signed a new deal.

This is the real fear based upon AW's previous prioritising of new deals for extending players as seen previously re Fabregas, RVP & Sagna & Co, with negotiations going deep into the transfer window and not only coming up empty, but also then compromising on the current issues within the squad.

L'Équipe with some new drama. Wenger was practically laughing about Martial costing 40mil with all the add-ons included. I simply doubt his mentallity to have changed so much that in just 2 years he'd suddenly be willing to break world record sum for another teenager, albeit it's a more talented one.

Tbf, I think the level of talent is astronomically different between the two, and the price reflects it pretty accurately.

I also think that the type of players each are is also like comparing apples & oranges, in that Mbappe looks to be a natural goal scorer / ST, whereas Martial is more like a WF who can score.
