Why are we so this why are we so that, why do we do this, why that---only one answer I been saying for long time. We are a smaller club than we imagine and expect. No aspirations on-field.
Use that as a starting point for all thought processes and everything makes sense from keeping a 'failing' manager for so long to transfers to youth policies to ticket prices etc etc.

It's one of those obvious transfers.

Okay, so Oxlade can get sold and Aurier should come in. Aurier/Bellerin for tge RWB/RB position is as solid as any team in the world.

Only thing with that is you'll lose a player who is versatile.

Ox is going next summer anyway so its not that big a concern. We could have been £10m in profit with a better player but instead we get another year of Ox blowing hot and cold and then he's gone.
