Lukaku to Chelsea is pretty much a done deal

Glad that Lukaku is not moving to Utd at least. He'd strengthen them more than he will strengthen Chelsea.

Balotelli's loud mouthed agent has said that his client is moving to Dortmund which is very surprising to me.

Think it's a certainty. They might have a lot of money but even they can't afford to spend €100m on striker to sit on the bench.

He's not. Lukaku has had a better season in a far worse team. This is an upgrade.

Lukaku in a Conte team is a pretty scary prospect to be honest.

I just don't see Lukaku providing/producing more than Costa. Costa has done the business for multiple teams in multiple leagues, and has terrorized some of the best defenders in the game, who have also got the better of him in return at times (looking at you Kos/Mustafi 🙂 ).

Lukaku is solid but he's not proven at the top tier, and has done decent against big clubs but not more. He'll struggle not being the big fish in a small Everton pond for at least a few months next season which is too long for the champions to overcome.

I think so too. Lukake is NOT an upgrade on Costa, at best he'll be on the same level. Costa will go to China, in a financially dodgy deal, Lukaku will come in.

Lukaku has out scored Costa in the last 2 seasons. Costa has never scored 25 goals in a PL season like Lukaku just has.

Lukaku is remarkably underrated on here no matter how many times he proves people wrong.

You can score less and still be the better player. Huntelaar's goals/minutes for Real Madrid was pretty good. Darren Bent outscored many better forwards. Mario Gomez was benched for Mandzukic. Sanchez is better than Lukaku and Kane.

In pretty much every statistical measure that matters for a CF Lukaku has done better than Costa this season. Assists is the only one I checked where he fell short but considering he had better chances created and key passes per 90 I'd put that down to those passes going to Mirallas and Barkley rather than Hazard and Pedro. Take ons, goals, shot accuracy, aerial duels, etc its all Lukaku coming out ahead. I rate Costa, how could you not, but he's not world class and has his limitations. I think because he causes more shit in games people rate him more highly than he should be. Lukaku isn't world class yet either but he has passed Costa.

I guess we'll see the coming season. We both better hope I'm right.
