DiMaria seems the obvious candidate. We were linked with Lucas too. If Mbappe goes I guess Cavani could become an option. Don't forget they signed Draxler in January too. Other than that Matiudi is supposed to be moving, not sure we'd be interested.

Lucas is pals with Neymar, probably won't move as a result. Di Maria is the one they'll be looking to ship off but not sure if we need him - obviously a huge talent but if he doesn;t want to be here we'll get what we saw when he was at United.

The big prem TV money has lead to foreign clubs dropping support for FFP. As they feel a cash injection is the only way for them to keep up.

It's more likely that we sell Sanchez to PSG for 40m and they also sign Mbappe for 120m.

Why would that be disappointing? He know he's a starter, he'll have a decent chance at CL (as opposed to, for example, us) and he'll play in a league he knows he can do well. When his contract is out, he's still young and can go wherever he wants. That he makes money there doesn't automatically make them a bad choice.

Yeah, I don't see the downside either. I reckon PSG is the single best move for Mbappe right now: it both ensures that his development won't stall and gives him a much better shot at important trophies than he would have had with us.

He's so ridiculously young that he's still only gonna be 23 by the time his contract is up too, and that's assuming no one steps in with a record fee before then. By the time he leaves Paris he could be immortalised in Ligue 1.

Yeah how is this more disappointing than him going to Real? Much lower risk, similarly high reward.

I'd say a lot of his not wanting to go to Real yet is about the World Cup.

Barca have supposedly told Sergi Samper to find a new club. We've been in for him for a few years now, turned us down every time because he thought he could break into Barca's team. I don't know if this down to him not pushing on or the board systematically destroying their youth system and the players coming out of it!

Too lightweight for the PL for sure, maybe even for LaLiga. Wasn't he out on loan - not sure he lit up any of his loan spells, although that may just be my ignorance.
