Queen + Adam Lambert just announced an NZ show. First visit to NZ for Queen since 1985. Would be a dream come true for me to see Queen having grown up listening to them my whole life. I know it's not fully the real thing without Freddie but I never had that chance so this is as close as it will get, and it will still at least be Brian May and Roger Taylor and it would be worth any money just to see May playing guitar in the flesh. Pre-sale on Monday.

Been listening to this in the car all week and now I can't get rid of the earworm.

All time classic. More recent bands like Bloc Party should've listened to that and realised it would be better not to write any songs after all.

I love GO4. Even got to see them live a few years ago. In fact speaking of Bloc Party I was at a festival and went straight from GO4 to Bloc Party who were mid set.

Played footy behind those beach huts, worked for years on the other side of that (Kings) road, and lived up the road in eyesight of the channel. Even sat late at night practising sax or flute on those steps at 2:21 a few times

Not been in England for about 22 months, going back next month, so that video stirs some emotions is me.

Heh. I think they're a bloody brilliant four piece. Superb rhythm section, great guitar, great vocals and lyrics.

Yeah they're brilliant. When I seen them they used a microwave + hammer for percussion. 😆 great band though, massively influential on a lot of 00s indie bands. The way the guitars sort of play against each other is genius.

Yeah, love bands that write songs with a bit of space in the voices like that.

Andy Gill's "silent solos" are genius—their whole output reminds me of the great breakdown at the end of Barbarism Begins at Home. Bass led.

Television are another favourite who do a good line in duelling guitars.
