Longitude introduced them to me. Was surprised to find one of my mates in California listening to them when I was over a few weeks ago.

King Krule - I'm a big fan. Can't believe this guy is only 19, something quite mature/understated about his sound (maybe because there's nothing I've really heard recently like it) and his vocals give his choons real character. Think he's really talented and the LP is living up to his EP promise. Not even the best track on the album in my mind.

Nice to have something that contrasts a lot of the electronic/chillwave/housey stuff I've been listening to for the past 9+ months.

Got an (obviously) London flavour to it with a bluesy twang.

There were constant technical problems with the sound at the Frightened Rabbit gig to the point they had to walk off several times. It was pretty great though. The lead singer did a bunch of acoustic guitar solos to kill time (including a sing along with the crowd with no mic) which actually turned out to be the best part of the gig!

Would pay to see him just doing an acoustic set on his own, talented guy.

They did acoustic gigs in Limerick and Galway earlier this year, or last year, not sure.

For Christmas, Jo's got her dad the new one on CD and a vinyl of their last album- I don't know what that one's called, but I do know it's really great. Yes, he's a fan.

We met up with James for the National's first gig at Ally Pally last week. Personally, I would say it wasn't quite as good as their Roundhouse show earlier this year, but it was still a solid 9/10 experience.
