@Ron I had that on in the background the other day as a warm up for the gig, and I have to say it's all a little softcore for me.

I do agree the guy can write songs. They started their gig with the song "Perth" (appropriately enough) and it sent shivers up my spine. Sometimes when they synth out with the saxes at full blast it's more like Toto than real music, though.

I listened to Untrue a lot last year, loved it.

He remixed Paradise Circus for Massive Attack, strangely I've never got around to listening to it.

Can honestly say I've never listened to him. I've only heard bad things about him.

Reason it took so long for me to listen to Burial was because I come across music quite organically. I don't read blogs or magazines to find out the latest buzz, just come across stuff eventually or take a while to get round to listening to something I have actually heard good stuff about.

I didn't even know what Skrillex was until a week ago when my sixteen year old brother discovered it.

Then I said "have you heard of Kode 9"? I think I listened to dubstep regularly for about two months in 2007 or something 🙂

My folks had a late surprise. Mum was 47.

Though actually he's turned 17, I'd just forgotten. I'm sort of more his unreliable criminal uncle than his brother, anyway.

You've just reminded me I need to pick their new album up- if it's out yet...

I'm getting deep into a Nirvana phase now- spent last night watching the Live at Reading dvd. Fucking awesome stuff. I sat there, three songs in, thinking "I am a fucking idiot".

Their new album was streamable on several sites a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if that's still going. It sounded very good the couple of times I drifted through it, but I was at work.
