Nah, I'm taking a Dudelike, "Well, y' know... that's just your opinion, man" approach to that comment.
I'm on a kind of NY City in the 70's kick at the moment. Listen loud.
Tricky - easily the best gig I've ever been to
When did you see him Y va? I love Tricky and have seen him two absolutely brilliant shows- Astoria in 99, the Barbican in 2008, but he can be very, very poor too. The last gig I saw him do, in Camden last year, was terrible.
I saw him in Cork in 2009. He started with the extended instrumental intro from You don't Wanna, shirtless, arms out crucifixion style, back to the audience. Mesmerized from the beginning I was 🙂

Been listening to him a bit. Love this track where he uses Grizzly Bear for the backing track

Yeah, he's been starting gigs with that for a while, it's a good beginning. When we saw him in 2008, he did a version of Joseph that seemed to go on for 20 minutes. As you say, mesmerized!
Loving this guy at the mo:
Shoobzy:
Listened to Rhianna's album earlier and there is nothing memorable about it at all but she has at least eight guaranteed no.1s on there. Wow, just wow because I have never heard anything like it.
Woohooo! Got tickets to Pearl Jam next summer. Absolutely over the moon. Extra sweet since tickets aren´t officially released until tomorrow...

Relies on an unparallelled level of saturation to dominate the pop charts. I suppose that's what it takes with the current generation.
Do you mean saturation in terms of the market, or the sonic frequency spectrum? (or both)
Got offered a (free!) ticket to Death in Vegas London show last night, but couldn't go. Fucking gutted.
Hoping At The Drive-In reforming doesn't turn into a mess. Potential to be incredible.
Also wish i could find the funds to go to Coachella.
Was talking about that yesterday. Relationship of Command is an old fave - superb album. I've never tracked down any of their other stuff but a friend tells me in/Casino/out is possibly even better.
Haven't listened to punk in years but this album is great.
Yet to give that album a proper listen. Saw Fucked Up years ago, and quite enjoyed them live, but couldnt get into any of their stuff. Heard latest is excellent though.
Anyone given the new Maccabees album a spin? It's slowly growing on me. Real mature sound for themselves.
Seeing these guys again next week, they're effing great live:
Off to see Little Dragon next month, weekend of the Spurs game. Should be gooooooood!
