Jo and I were saying the other night it seems like the National have been touring for ever- they must be fucked.

Still, I'd love to see them again. Pulp next week! Woohoo! Looking forward to a bit of Joyriders, that'd be, hmm, topical.

The National have been to Denmark four times in a year. Says it all really. Surely they're bound to take a break from touring soon?

I saw them twice in that period. They are amazing live. Although I'd like them to play more of the older songs.

Burnsy, you weren't a. Fan of Beautiful, dark, twisted fantasy?
Thought it was brilliant, as were his first two albums. In the first two albums, he was just a producer, but now he's turned into a fine wordsmith, even outdoing Jay-Z lyrically on Watch the Throne. His delivery is also improving.

Wu is funny. When I was younger, Meth was my favorite, but over time I've been most moved by Ghost.

Went to see Netsky on Friday evening. Guy played an absolutely smashing set. Well pleased with the night.

@Cali I stopped listening to Kanye properly after Late Registration so my opinion counts for naught. Huge, huge fan of 36 Chambers and OB4CL though.

I was down at Leeds so seen that line up on the Sunday, great day. Good festival too. The National were very good however they didn't draw much of a crowd.

Ghostpoet's Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam is excellent.

Have also added Neu! 2 and Neu! 75 to the collection and am enjoying them. Magazine's Correct Use Of Soap is rather good too.

I'm away to Electric Picnic tomorrow. Mostly looking forward to Punl, Public Enemy, Beirut and Toots and the Maytals. Was looking forward to Arcade Fire but they clash with PE so I'll have to miss them. Want to see Flying Lotus too but they're so late on Saturday chances are I'll be too drunk to care who's on.

Since you are on a krautrock binge here's a 'lost' Can album from the Mooney era. Versions of some of the tracks on Monster Movie which is a terrific record.

meth was my favorite when i was younger, but when i listen to my old wu albums (something i do regularly) inspectah deck has that status now. was never really a big ghostface fan, but one of my favorite songs ever winter warz is on ironman and cappadonna's verse ... holy shit.

Great weekend at EP

The Good:

Pulp - just amazing, its like they're still in their 20s
Public Enemy - still raging, still brilliant, still going on about the Irish being persecuted like the blacks 😆
Rubber Bandits - absolutely hilarious, as they say them selves a right pair of gas bastards
Beirut - Great setlist, on a bit early for my liking but still brilliant
Jimmy Cliff - silly dancing, crazy suit, good times.

The Bad:

Chemical Bros - boring set with the same visuals they've been using for years
Toots and The Maytals - because Toots sang one line and walked off stage due to laryngitis.

Jo got Baxter Dury's album yesterday, that's well worth a listen. Also Little Dragon's latest, Ritual Union I think it's called. Only listened to half of it, but very impressed with what I've heard.
