We managed to get 8 tix in the end. Not cheap, not at all, but we have tix for shows in Melbourne and Sydney. Had friends in the UK on holiday get up at 1am to join the Aussie madness on line. She really is a phenomenon. Can you imagine the lost productivity when a few million people are glued to the refresh screen all day.

Seeing Bruce Springsteen this weekend. Should be a blast.

I love Bruce - such a great performer. His Wrecking Ball tour with a large contingent of brass players, plus a great fiddle player, was my favourite, but he's also fabulous with "just" the E Street Band.

A mate saw him recently in, I think, Amsterdam, and loved it. Have fun!

Thanks. Saw him back in 2003 as well. Mind blowing concert. Arguably the best live show I've ever been to.

I love bits of Bruce - Nebraska & Born in The USA are two of my favourite albums. Quite into The River & Darkness on the Edge of Town as well. Hear he puts on quite a show, so enjoy Kel!

Saw some Polly Harvey interview the other day which led with a photograph of her looking ridiculously darkly radiant, as usual, and the title was something like "PJ Harvey asks: have I still got it?" … didn't read it, but my first thought was "don't come the raw prawn here Polly" …

Qwiss Man was one of the greatest poets ever.

Just catching up with it, but the Smiths set Rick Astley fronted at Glastonbury is pretty damn good and also perfect justice in its way.

Yeah that set looked good. Seen a video of him doing a cover of Everlong recently too that was great. Astley was always an absolutely top tier singer, he deserved more of a career really.

Qwiss I'll give Morrissey some credit as an artist despite his lifetime of being a dickhead verging on a bigot, but having seen him live many years ago, I reckon Astley might be singing his songs better than he has this millennium.

Burnwinter I've seen Morrissey quite a few times and he's deteriorated over the years. I had the pleasure of being at his gig in Dublin the day Reagan died, that was fun.

My birthday today and amongst other things Jo has got me the Terminator soundtrack on Terminator silver vinyl. It's not actually called that, but that is how I'm choosing to reference this edition of one of my favourite soundtracks ever.
