I get high to Oh Yeah and Halleluhwah constantly. Two of my favourite tracks ever. I can't praise Can enough. Everything from Damo's backward voice, Liebezeit's drumming and Karoli on guitar, it's just perfect. My location 'evals eht m'I semitemoS' is inspired by Can and in particular, Damo.

I've listened to Neu!, Amon Duul II and Faust and none of them are as good as Can imo.

Ibby: Damo still tours you know? I saw him live earlier this year. He rocks into town, hooks up with local Can-fan musicians, and does shows where he improvises straight for two hours with them as a backing band. He's still got an incredible range and a bag full of tricks.

Incredible drummer. That band went seriously downhill once they (well, Kele) started forgetting what talent musicians him and Russell were/are.

I saw Gordy in his other band, Young Legionnaire (with Paul Mullen, former Yourcodenameis:milo - who were superb) last month in a tiny venue in Birmingham supporting Les Savy Fav. I don't think anyone knew who he was.

Matt Tong is brilliant, definitely the standout of Silent Alarm. But Jaki is something else, up there with Bonzo for me, I think he's that good.

I agree 100% James, it's a shame to think what Bloc Party could have been. I still like Kele's solo stuff mind.

I've been hell-bent on finding some good new RnB recently and after about five minutes of searching I came across two excellent artists in Frank Ocean and The Weeknd. I've given them proper listens and think they're both brilliant, Frank Ocean especially. Odd Future are going to be massive it seems.

Raphael Saadiq's album has also leaked. Mixed feelings towards this, some tracks are annoying and definitely skippable but then you have Stone Rollin' and Day Dreams.

I kinda liked Bloc Party's new stuff really, it was just a little overdone perhaps. But the shine definitely wore off after Silent Alarm which to be fair was aways going to be incredibly hard to out-do.

Not a fan of Kele's solo work although i haven't listened to it all that much.

Really not keen on the latest Bloc Party stuff, or Kele's solo album.

Frank Ocean's album is good. Gave it a go what with the Odd Future ties, and although it's not as good as Earl or Tyler's material (different genre), its not bad. Some pretty sweet samples/covers on it. Yet to listen to The Weeknd, but i did download that just yesterday funnily.

Let me know what you think! It sonds very electronic at times and you wouldn't be surprised if the producer just listened to Burial right before making beats for a couple of tracks in particular.

I've just bought tickets to see Mount Kimbie at the end of the month. Can't wait.

Just found that GZA is performing Liquid Swords here next week. Well, that's that then.

Sometimes its too easy to be disappointed by what a bands failed to become when you should just appreciate what they were/are.

Why was Supercollider not included in KoL? Think it would have fitted better than that Amnesiac B-side Little By Little.

For the record, KoL has got me listening to my old Radiohead albums for the first time in years and I'm putting it out there...

...Amnesiac is a seriously good chillout album.

Checked my email account last night and Dead Air Space had sent me an email. Butcher doesn't appear up to much but like Supercollider (it's on YouTube now by the way mate).
