Anyway, my, boring, top 5 albums for the year are as follows:
Blur- The Magic Whip. I know you're all expecting me to say this, but I don't care, it's got so many highlights for me. Go Out is also my tune of the year. Fucking loved it on first listen, fucking love it now.
New Order- Music Complete. Okay, so the thrill of the initial listens and opening 4 tracks has worn off slightly, but still the best opening 4 tracks I've heard this year.
Black Rivers- Black Rivers. The brother from Doves pull off the impossible by making an album that surpasses their former band's output. The Ship is also one of my favourite songs of the year.
Ghostpoet- Shedding Skin. His best album yet, a great listen all the way through.
Public Service Broadcasting- The Race For Space. Love this. Appropriately, you really feel like you've been on a journey by the end of the album.
