Shameful that its taken this long for a music thread! So what stuff are you chaps into? I like most styles but rock is what really floats my boat - metal, hard rock, radio friendly stuff, whatever.

Some of my favorite bands: Thrice (all time faves), Alexisonfire, Bloc Party, InMe, Fightstar, Muse, Reuben, Bombay Bicycle Club, August Burns Red, Enter Shikari and lots more.

Feel free to post some youtube videos. I'll get the ball rolling!

How could you forget Armor For Sleep? 😉

Reuben (RIP) are, and were, a fucking superb band. Only gutted I didnt see them live more than the once. I could go back to any of their albums any day of the week and a Sunday. Always have to turn the speakers to 11 for Return of the Jedi.

Ha AFS are well down on my list tbh, still like the name though!

Reubens lack of success goes to show how shitty the music industry really is. They should have been regarded as one of the best bands in the country instead of playing small gigs and struggling to make a decent living. Brilliantly creative music.

I've only heard a bit of Million Dead but quite like it. Due to problems with my i-pod and laptop i haven't been able to download much music lately but when i get things sorted i'll give them a proper listen.

Million Dead are a fairly old band now, Don Pacifico (Frank Turner) was the singer if you're into him. Just wondered cause they made it roughly same time as Reuben.

Reuben! Lolz! Blast from the past. Couple of good tracks but bit too much screechy (same for Enter Shikari actually); think you and James will get on like an Emo house on fire.

Strokes were never that good (couple of decent tracks), just had good hype.

Burnwinter

Strokes have always been a bit average, and have become more average still, but there is something memorable about the Casablancas pose / voice.

You Only Live Once gets stuck in my head from time to time.

Good call on the new Radiohead album James. Just saw it on my news feed a minute ago, so very helpful indeed. The amazing (and I use that term loosely) thing is that I actually checked their website late last night for the first time in ages, looking for news on a new album.

I'll be going for the £30 version, just as with In Rainbows.

Any idea how long till it comes out on CD?

Not sure about CD, but the Newspaper vinyl is shipped early May. I'd suggest a similar time. Digitally, it's out this weekend though.

Jo's in hog heaven this week. Radiohead and PJ Harvey albums in the same week? It doesn't get better than that. Plus, I got her the first two National albums for Valentines. Not sure what to make of PJ's effort yet, but loving Sad Songs..

Still got my In Rainbows disc box but it got damaged when I moved house; sounds like this one will be even more fragile.
