Indeed, my original point was that any non female Dem would beat Trump next time around given that he only marginally edged out the massively unpopular Hilary.
I don’t think being a woman was a huge influencing factor for Hillary’s loss. She just had too much garbage and dirt attached to her name. The Russian attack only worsened matters but I feel if a black man can be President then I think a woman stands a fair chance. People didn’t turn out to vote en masse, not because she was a woman, but because she had no message the populace could get behind except for apparently wanting/deserving to be the first female President. In fact I’d go so far as to say most of her votes were anti-Trump votes rather than Pro-Hillary.
I can tell you Trump’s message even today: the economy, jobs, trade, infrastructure.
What was Hillary’s message?
Hilary's message ended up primarily being that she wasn't Trump - that she was experienced, educated, capable.
That would have worked for any male Dem regardless of how insipid or uninspiring the message.
I've had this discussion already on here, it's probably ten or so pages back, it's of no great interest to me to rehash it.
Leave it that I saw often blatant and sometimes latent misogyny in a lot of the opposition to Hilary, from people who would normally be disposed to voting Dem.
