Absolutely. Folks on here often keep defending them but I still can't get over the fact that nearly 63m people voted for someone so openly vile and many of those continue to support him, not in spite of shit like this but precisely because of it.
It’s what I keep saying, and while I apologize to folks like mags who I sincerely believe is probably a decent person (I think mags sees clearly the misogyny in the man and this is what affects and concerns her)), but America as a whole wasn’t hoodwinked into this. They voted en masse for Trump with their eyes wide open, knowing fully well who and what he is. This isn’t about white evangelists. This is about white people in general and the deep, deep, racist sentiment that many of them embrace and espouse, consciously or subconsciously.
FFS: I was having a conversation with one of my colleagues two days back and he was basically complaining about the rates of reproduction of Muslims and non whites, claiming the white race was on its road to extinction, asking me if it was a cultural thing among black people to have kids and not take care of them... All this of course he prefaced with the statement: “I’m not racist, but...”
